Lots of Perl books
I don't actually have "Learning Perl". My first exposure to Perl was before any of these books were even published. I learned about Perl from a printout of the Perl man page and another programmer. If you are kind of new to programming and need to work with Perl then "Learning Perl" is the place to start.

Still looking for a great PHP book
I've looked at a lot of PHP books and even own a few but can't really recommend any of them. Some are just a waste of paper, just a printout of the PHP manual available online.
